How long have you been in business?
Logical Insurance Solutions was established in March 2007 with it’s focus Group Health Insurance and Medicare Insurance.
What is your primary product or service?
Employer Benefit Plans and Medicare Solutions are still our primary focus. Our clients are very dedicated and appreciate what we do for them. They have asked us to expand our business so that they can work with us on all their insurance needs. So, they asked for it and we have and will continue to add carriers as we grow our Property & Casualty Business. We are a Broker and what that means we work with a large variety of insurance companies, so we can find the right company to meet your needs. Again, we sell most insurance plans and a short list of the most used products include. Health Insurance, Medicare Supplements and Medicare Advantage Plans, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Long Term Care (Living in Place Insurance), Annuities, Dental, Vision, Homeowners Insurance, Rental Insurance, Keyman Insurance, Commercial and Business Insurance and the list goes on.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My background was the Hospitality Industry. I worked with a national airline and opened their call center. Years later I went to work for a national hotel company where I was the Regional Revenue Manager and enjoyed many years and made many friends in the industry. The hotels I managed were sold and I decided to do what can natural to me and that helping people understand contracts and manage money. I have very strong and loyal work ethics, so I wanted to build a business that if I helped someone they would continue to work with me and refer me. So here we are today a very successful Insurance Broker with agents from Marco Island up to Bradenton. Our headquarters are in Fort Myers Florida, but we serve all of Florida and about 21 other states as well.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
If you’re looking for an agency that has your best interest at heart than we may be what you’re looking for. We want to know who our clients are and understand their needs and life, so we can tailor their insurance plans to them. Our clients call us by our first names treat us like family and know we will help them in any way possible. Our clients aren’t just a number or a policy they are family.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our headquarters is located near downtown Fort Myers right off McGregor Blvd. We are looking at adding a physical office location in Naples. Our agents are in the community and will do in home & company work site visits. We are always interested in adding new agents to the team and helping them grow.

Our office is located at 2365 West First Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901. Coming from the south head north on McGregor Blvd, turn left right after the Edison Ford Estate and we are the only low-rise building on the right. Right across the street from Pinchers Crab Shack. The building is owned by an attorney and the number on the building is 2369, we are the last door 2365. If you need additional directions, we recommend you use your navigation system or call us and we would be happy to try to help some more. Remember we are NOT down town so adding the West in front of First Street is very important. Hope to see you soon.
What type of payments do you accept?
If you are hiring us for consulting only and do not plan to purchase an insurance policy through us we only accept cash or checks. This is very rare as mostly you are busing an insurance product and then it depends on the insurance carrier’s policy. Most prefer Electronic Transfer of Funds, Payment Coupons, and some do take credit cards, cash is not accepted for payment on insurance policies in most cases.
Which areas do you service?
We will meet with our clients in Lee, Collier and Charlotte County but we service clients all over the state. We are also licensed in many other states to help serve our residence with multiple homes. Our Employer Health Benefits team is national and our additional state licenses are very beneficial.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Logical Insurance Solutions is a family owned and operated insurance broker. Ulla-Undine Merritt known as Dee is the operating principal of the agency and the President of the Corporation. Our agents are positioned by their main customer base. Michele Sanchez – Marco Island -South Naples, Carolyn Marks- North Naples – Bonita; Dee Merritt – Fort Myers – Estero; Denise Horton – North Fort Myers- Port Charlotte, Justin Merritt – Bradenton-Venice, Lawton Roberts HDQ Fort Myers. All agents do other areas, but this is closest to them and their sphere of influence.
What are your hours of operation?
Our office hours are Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, closed on the weekends and most major holidays. Appointments are always recommended, and after-hours appointments are possible with appointment only. Call 239-362-0855
